Signup Template

Highest Position able to staff: _______
Times avaliable: _________ / all event

Controllers will use this template, if not then I shall edit the information provided into this template. It will make it clear to other controllers and myself who is doing what and when.

State the highest position you are able to staff. During a ZTL sponsered event, before the event, controllers will be assigned a position in a final post by me, then the post will be locked.

State the time you will be able to control, if you cannot control all the event, please put the time that you will be able to.

If you are signed up for the event but you cannot make it, do NOT delete the post. Instead email me at events@vztlartcc.net informing me of why you cannot make it. Once I have been informed, your post will be deleted.

After the event has happened, a summary will be posted if the event was ZTL sponsered. Once the event has past, the event will be archived.

We have many VAs flying in and out of our airports. I will inform you in the event post, what their ETA/ETD is. I would recommend logging on 45 minutes before their arrival or departure time, and try to stay on at least 1 hour after the ETA/EDT has past.

If the event shows beginning and ending times, you should be logged on, ready to control at that time until the end, or if traffic levels die down.

During a ZTL partner event or a VA partner event; if someone is controlling a position which you signed up for, yet they did not, I strongly urge the controller who didn't signup to allow the person who did to control, yet this is not a rule, just my standpoint.

Please try not to split positions up when there is not sufficent traffic to, it can confuse pilots very easily and make our lives harder.
